The work

Parrot tulips and white roses, after the seventeenth-century Dutch flower pieces. The title names the method behind the whole collection: drawing form out of darkness with light.

Craft

The artist composes each image from photographs, paintings and references that serve as models for generative tools; the image is then reworked, digitally retouched and recalibrated for light. Each work is printed, assembled by hand and signed in the studio.
