The work

Peonies and old roses packed edge to edge, as in the Flemish vanitas paintings where abundance already hints at its end. The densest composition in the collection: once lit, each flower emerges from the dark in turn.

Craft

The artist composes each image from photographs, paintings and references that serve as models for generative tools; the image is then reworked, digitally retouched and recalibrated for light. Each work is printed, assembled by hand and signed in the studio.
